Often, a venue will tell you that the event manager can help you plan your wedding. While event managers are amazing and we appreciate everything they do to assist us, their first priority is the venue. If anything is going wrong or preoccupying their time, they won't be there for you the day of. Also, an event manager does not do the all of the
"pre-wedding day" bells and whistles that a planner does. They aren't helping with your personal items, talking with your family, or assisting you in making sure that every piece of your big day is planned to perfection. They typically step in the day of only and their timelines only reflects the events taking place inside the venue. If your ceremony is at church or your bridal luncheon is offsite, the event manager will not assist you with any of those details. When hiring a wedding planner, you get so many great tools like preferred vendors lists, tailored to fit your style and budget, an itemized budget and so much more.
For the By Your Side and A Stylish Soiree packages, absolutely! We have several planners on staff at A Stylish Soiree, all of which are fabulous. From the moment you submit your inquiry online, you are matched with a planner. That planner will be the one to contact you and set up a meeting. She will be with you through from the moment you say "I do" until the grand getaway. We want you to make a personal connection with your planner, after all, you will will be chatting with her often. Often our planners become personal friends and remain in contact for years to come! If you book our simplified package, your planner will be chosen 6 months before the wedding, but we are all here you answer any questions you have, up until that point.
As a company, yes, we will have more than one wedding per weekend. However, each planner only works with one couple per weekend. We think it's very important that each Bride has her planner's undivided attention leading up to her wedding and on her wedding day.
Our company offers two separate services that work together often. We have full time planners on staff and a full time event design department. Though we really enjoy working together on a wedding, we certainly don't have to. Many brides come to us for planning and they've already booked a designer or they come for event design with a planner by their side. We love the opportunity to network with other planners and designers. So, the answer is no, you don't have to book us for both services, but there are some extra goodies if you do...email us to find out more!
As your planner, we are more than happy to setup your personal items on the wedding day. These items include things like toasting flutes, cake cutters, the guest book, engagement photos, escort cards, programs, the bridal portrait, and more. We usually say that if we can fit it in the car, we are happy to set it up. Your team of vendors will make sure that whatever you'd like to incorporate into your wedding is set and styled perfectly on the wedding day.
