As engagement season draws to a close, spring weddings are just around the corner. We can’t wait to kick off an incredible year of festivities… from intimate garden ceremonies to elegant ballroom receptions, every wedding is sure to be a memorable celebration. Our team is so excited to bring each couple’s creative vision to life with unique floral design and seamless wedding planning.
As we’ve mentioned before, top-notch vendors are the key to pulling off a successful wedding season. Today we’re highlighting another talented industry pro in our Vendor Spotlight series: Sarah Erickson of Sarah Ann Design. However, Sarah also has a special connection to A Stylish Soiree… she has recently joined our team as a marketing, social media, and wedding assistant!
Sarah is a designer and calligrapher with a love for paper details. Her formal education in design and advertising is an asset to her own stationery business, and to our team at A Stylish Soiree. She’ll be assisting with our blog posts (so stay tuned for more planning advice, industry trends, and real weddings!), social media platforms, and behind-the-scenes planning tasks.

Tell us about your company:
As a stationery designer and calligrapher, my work stems from a love of letterform and heartfelt appreciate for marriage vows. Ultimately, I desire to provide cherished keepsakes of your celebration—reminders of true romance, a lifelong commitment, and vows for eternity. My services include
custom stationery design,
envelope calligraphy, day-of details and signage, and custom commissions (like vows or love notes).
How long have you been in the wedding industry?
I’m relatively new to the industry—I’ve only been creating wedding stationery for about a year. However, my background in calligraphy and formal education in graphic design extend far beyond that!
What makes your services unique?
My couples! Each custom invitation suite is tailored uniquely to you. Your love story is unlike any other; I believe your paper goods should be just as distinctive.
Describe your favorite type of client:
I design for the romantic couple who doesn’t want to forget a single moment of their wedding day. They care about details that express their one-of-a-kind love story, and they will treasure keepsakes of their marriage for years to come.
Where do you find inspiration or motivation?
Usually, my design concepts are built on a distinctive detail that uniquely represents a couple’s relationship. For example, I might create a custom envelope liner pattern based on the engagement ring he designed specifically for her… or perhaps their first kiss was in a field of wildflowers, inspiring an invitation suite adorned with floral illustrations.
Do you have any advice for engaged couples as they plan the big day?
Treasure this season of engagement. It is fleeting and sweet in its own way, wrapped up in anticipation and love and excitement. Invest in this precious time to enjoy this season of your relationship and to prepare for your marriage—not just your wedding.
When do you recommend couples book your services?
The earlier, the better! Invitations are typically mailed 6–8 weeks prior to the wedding; I encourage couples to begin the custom design process 3–4 months before the big day. You can learn more about my

Why do you think couples should hire a planner?
There is no better investment for your wedding day. An experienced planner will alleviate stress throughout the planning process, allowing you to enjoy engagement. Not hiring a wedding planner eventually redistributes coordination responsibilities to the rest of your vendors—taking their time and attention away from performing their best work… and ultimately lowering the overall caliber of your event. Do yourself, your vendors, and your guests a favor: hire a wedding planner in Dallas! On the day of the wedding, they’ll handle every logistical detail; while you can actually savor all the sweet memories in the making.
