Lyndsey and Andrew’s winter wedding was filled with personality at every turn! Not even tricky weather could thwart their happiness on such a special occasion. This sweet couple took inclement weather in stride, and still managed to cherish every moment spent together. Their celebration at The Filter Building on White Rock Lake incorporated plenty of personalized details for their friends and family to enjoy!
Lyndsey’s winter color palette added an inspiring fresh twist to seasonal trends: plum, burgundy, and gray, with lush green accents. The deeply hued color palette set the tone for an elegant celebration. Lyndsey’s lace-sleeved gown was a classic choice, while her stylish short hair added a modern touch to her wedding-day look.
The floral designs were another unique element of Lyndsey and Andrew’s vision: plenty of unusual textures came together in the bride’s wintry bouquet, and we’re in love with the final result! And what’s not to love about the groom’s distinctive boutonniere? Our floral team also crafted the ceremony arch, which was converted into a focal point around the sweetheart table at the reception.
Many of the wedding-day details were a nod to Lyndsey’s Norwegian heritage: the tiny troll cake-toppers were a fun touch, and guest tables were named after various Norwegian hiking trails the couple had trekked together.
Lyndsey and Andrew also incorporated a unique unity ceremony into their wedding: a tree-planting! Together the couple potted and watered a sapling tree to symbolize their family roots, intent to nurture each other, and their growth as a couple. We love unique ceremonies, and this one was especially sweet!
Andrew and Lyndsey’s first dance couldn’t have been more romantic: “You are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. Following the ceremonial first dance, guests partied long into the night—keeping the dance floor packed. As the celebration drew to a close, the couple made their grand exit and stepped into the next chapter of their love story as husband and wife.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bokemeyer!
